Lofistory, as its silly name implies, is an ode to my favorite study partner. Conceptualized during a class project, this design exercise reflects my love of Lo-fi hip hop. I wanted to emulate the warm, cozy, and colorful aesthetics of the genre while paying homage to a few of the legendary tracks and iconic figures responsible for its conventions. I opted for a simple design, not overly reliant on elements like buttons or forms, both to keep with the low-key theme and because I would later have to develop the site using only CSS and HTML. This meant playful cards that grouped information, a hand-drawn font, and of course a classic looping lo-fi ramen shop rain gif as the main background. If I were to expand on the design i'd like each subsection featured on the main page to expand into a broader collection of content when selected. I had a blast designing this glimpse into a musical genre that's close to my heart!
